Travaux is in the planning stage of a proposed 32-story development on a lot owned by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) immediately south of HACM’s Convent Hill development. The tower would be a mix of high-end market-rate units and affordable housing for a total of up to 350 units (this mix is yet to be determined). The development will also contain up to 13 townhomes, over 40,000 square feet of office space, a 425-space parking structure, swimming pool, fitness center, and outdoor courtyards.

The proposed project is within a state-designated Opportunity Zone, which is expected to provide significant financial resources. Additional financing could come through programs such as Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae as well as private financing.

Groundbreaking on the approximately $150 million, two-year project could begin as early as the fall of 2020.
